Kini Kapaki is known as “the
Hawaiian Cowboy” and
was a professional musician
for 22 years. He attended the
College for Recording Arts,
earning a certification in
audio engineering.
He served 17 years as
President of Nashville
Records, alongside Joe
Mansfield, Vice President of
Nashville Records. Before
joining Kini, Mansfield
marketed the biggest names in
the industry; Aerosmith,
Journey, Paul McCartney, Garth
Brooks and numerous others,
where he earned over 130 gold
and platinum albums. The
Mansfield/Brooks duo sold over
148 million records.
Kini and Mansfield then signed
acts with numerous top #10
chart topping hits to their
credit. Kini produced a
compilation album with such
legend as Roy Clark, Collin
Raye, Juice Newton, Johnny Lee
and many others. In 2019 Kini
left the label and started
writing screenplays.
With a background in business,
he served as President of the
Chamber of Commerce and also
the Chairman of the Board of
Directors of a local Chamber.
